Strep Syrup

This soothing honey syrup is the perfect natural remedy for strep throat during the winter months. This syrup helps ease throat pain, reduce inflammation, and fight infection. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties provide relief from soreness while supporting your body’s healing process.

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 1/2-inch chunk of ginger, minced

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/8-1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (based on preference)

  • 1/8 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Stir ingredients together in a small bowl.

  2. Take 1/2 - 1 tsp hourly during the day while in pain, 3x per day for 5-7 days after.

  3. Try to hold it in your throat for as long as possible; do not wash it down with liquid after you swallow it.

The cayenne helps bring blood to the area for healing. Honey, garlic, and ginger all have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
